★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Escorted a friend for short walk around Plaza then looking at various shops in Pitillal looking for a few items. While it fairly easy to get here, many do not realize the items which can be found. A bit of Spanish is a Plus.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are looking for authentic clay cookware at cheap prices, Pitillal is the place to go. We found a variety of cookware and tiny playware for our kiddo and the lady at the store was very helpful (we didnt speak spanish and she didnt speak english) despite our language barrier. She packed our stuff very carefully when we signed that we were carrying it on a flight and all the pieces made it safe to our home. The quality of the cookware is very good and we enjoy cooking with them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to visit off the beaten tourist track if you want to see the real puerto Vallarta. On weekends try the food from the street vendors, particularly the esquites (corn) or the crepes!
In December it fills up with crafts vendors, perfect to buy gifts

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A beautiful Catholic church on the Town square iñ the village of Pitillal, about 5iles Northeast of Old Town. Buses run every 10 minutes for the 25 minute drive and only cost 10 pesos each way. The church is a local landmark and a historical site dating back over 300 years while Mexico was in it's infancy. Besides this must see building is the day to day life of average locals going about their business in this downtown area. There are street vendors selling wonderful homemade items from tortas to to candies. A coffee shop is close that offers a large variety of Mexican coffees and fruit drinks. The colorful architecture is traditional Mexico and what most visitors expect which won't be a let down. If you are a shopper this is where to buy goods. It is much more economical than the tourist areas near the beach and also less crowded.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Since March 18 to 23 or 26 not sure but there's a fiestas patronales n there is a feria n Group's of Band's singing live n some of antojitos mexicanos ( Real Mexican Food made it from people of this town) n everything its so GOOD clean cheap. I recommend to everyone come n c this place at this dates.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I like this zone, best place for shopping, prices better, best seafood authentic in Puerto Vallarta, for this area cheapest prices. Not far from the macro plaza with the other walmart. There are 2. The church is very nice, and people are friendly, food excellent

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you come to this place you must try the ELOTES YEYA!!! best corn I have ever had! Super clean and the staffs are very nice and welcoming. Definitely will go again. Also the Hot dogs are delicious! The fried bananas with fruit next to ELOTES yeya are to die for! You will not regret to try any of that. Take a walk around this PLAZA EL PITILLAL and enjoy some food ?
