Overpriced for what it is. Staff was nice, but looks better from outside than inside. Pool could be cleaned more often

The ocean front room was one of the best we have had. The view was incredible. That said...had to ask for water every day. Had to ask for hand towels. The 20$ cad extra per night per person for the breakfast was absolutely not worth it. Toast and jam and a coffee. 95 pesos on the menu! All in all...was a lovely stay

Please read and I understand. Mahahual Is a rustic untouched town. So if you are looking for 5star accommodation--not here. Now I do expect basic amenities if you claim to be one of the better hotels. The layout of the hotel is functional. Residences on one side and hotel in the other building. The residences are available, but not used. The one we initially looked at, extremely musty odor of no use and lack of aeration. We settled on a single room with partial ocean view. The room is clean. However it lacks any furniture for simply putting away underwear. Be prepared to live out of your suitcase. The bathroom is large and clean. You will need to ask for towels and hand clothes. They give you only two towels. You will also need to ask for cups to just rinse your morning breath. The bed is firm and not terribly comfortable. AC works great. The staff is courteous and attentive. The restaurant has excellent breakfast and lunch. I would suggest, do not come with great expectations. All hotels by American standards are 2star at best. Just pick what is important to you. Aqua Star like two others are better construction. Yet there are plenty of hotels in the area less than 50% of the cost of this one, that serve the same endpoint. I would return. Just know what you are getting into. Otherwise Mahahual Is a great place to unwind and visit!

Nice clean rooms, okay wifi reception. Nice to have two pools, sandy beach and a good breakfast all in one place. Could improve check-in efficiency and have someone help with bags.

Awesome hotel maybe the most comfy but staff is so slow and they need to put attention to costumers specially restaurant. They literally prefer to finish their lunch and after that take our order. Views are the best. This is the first best option if you are looking for a good and secure place. AC works good and cold. Hot water takes to long to get into the room. Parking lot is secure and big.

Great hotel and staff! Located on the beachfront . Restaurant has some good food and excellent service compared to others in the area

Decorations are stunning! Pool on the roof and pool in front of the beach. Staff is super attentive and caring. Wake up early to catch the sunrise from the roof and below on the dock. Rent bikes to bike the path behind the hotel right along the beach. My room was an economy room. Didn’t have a fridge but the hotel offers accommodations. Oh and water didn’t get super hot but it was so hot outside that it was refreshing.

The hotel is very well located (right in front of the beach) and the parking is easily accessible. The wall rooms are thin, so you can hear the neighbors sneeze, but overall is a good place to stay
