★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Interesante monumento pero la zona turistica hasta ahi. Pasando este arco nos encontramos con casas abandonadas, basura, lugares descuidados y poco confiables de caminar para los turistas.
 Interesting monument but the tourist area up there. Passing this arch we find abandoned houses, garbage, neglected and unreliable places to walk for tourists.

I would like to be maintained, it is a beautiful place, however the city needs maintenance including this space.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Merida's Arco del Puente is one of three surviving gates to the old colonial city of Merida. It is an ancient arch dating to 1690 and one of the oldest surviving buildings in the city. Located at the edge of old town it is meant for the more adventurous as it is located in the less touristy part of town but one with more real Mexican flavor.
