Beautiful corner of Mérida that a while ago was drowned among a sea of taxis on foreign routes, on the street that passes through the Arco de San Juan the Real Camino a Campeche began in colonial times.

A very old part of Merida that is very well preserved, the atmosphere created by the arch, the park and the houses around it is very nice.
The cons that can be found is the carelessness of people in the structures and in throwing the garbage out of the boat, in addition to being drunk sometimes in the park, however, they are things that can be solved.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very cool to see one of the last 2 arcs in Merida. Catch it at sunset and the colors are beautiful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the three ancient colonial arches that demarcate the limits of old Merida. It dates back to the late 17th century and is located at an entrance to a quaint Parque San Juan. beautifully restored, it makes for a nice photo opportunity. There are some cute buildings around as well, and street vendors abound in the park as you are now squarely off the beaten path.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This arc is a bit hidden and far away from from center but it is a worth walk. Come here during morning or evening hours to get the best pictures.
