Argentina Steakhouse - 77400 Isla Mujeres

I hate leaving bad reviews but… wow. I ordered a wine, never got it after asking for it 2-3 times. I really was polite. When they gave the bill the waiter said, “I took the wine off the bill for a discount”, as if it was a favor. Could have been lost in translation but that was really it. I explained I didn’t get it nor the steak I ordered. I ordered a 16 oz sirloin got maybe 8. I asked him what is the steak and he said fillet. I informed him I ordered sirloin he then said it was the sirloin. Even the group I was with said ask. I wish I took a photo of a 20 oz steak next to mine. Order a glass of wine, it never came. I asked for a knife and fork got it when the rest of the group of 5 finished their meals. The steak I had, I think the 8oz fillet, was good but I cannot tell people to stay away. I really was utterly disappointed, and I didn’t get that upset until the end. People have off days, but to this extent, and then to say I gave you a discount of the wine, that I didn’t get. My buddies has an ok experience to be fair. Their food canoe kit on time, they got what they ordered. But for me, I say, Do Not Eat Here.

There were 15 people in our our group that had dinner and not one person complained about the food. The cocktails were amazing and the beer was ice cold. The music was a relaxing bossanova that set the mood with the boys decor. There was a cool factor that made it such a fun place to enjoy your evening. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

I only stopped here because Google maps totally led me to a VERY wrong location for an apothecary shop. The waiter was very helpful in trying to help me find the one store on the island I truly wanted to visit. I sat down for a drink to try and get a better idea of where this store may be and was delighted to find their mezcal menu. While I didn't particularly care for the taste of the drink it had an incredible presentation and the wait staff was extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating.

I had the best steak ever here. My ribeye was so juicy and tender. I tried it just as a joke but I was able to cut it with my fork. The service was quick and prompt. I wish I was on the island longer so I could have this meal everyday!

Really nice place at Isla Mujeres! The place has great outdoor and inside tables to eat. Really comfy seats. A nice variety of food and a pretty good and quick service! Price is fair. I would come back to eat at this place!

Went here for a nice steak, however... We ordered the Prime Rib as the waiter recommended it, and said it is the best steak. There was something off about the texture of the steak, it actually tasted like ham of pork. It was not juicy like a steak should be, even though it was pink. It was odd. I love steak when done in the right way, but this was almost like a fake steak, as they have frozen it, injected it with water, or served us pork instead of beef! To call this an Argentinian steakhouse is an insult to Argentina! Definitely one of the worst steaks I've had in a restaurant. Also, there was only half a potato next to it as a side dish. And some raw salad, which we did not eat for food safety reasons. Very disappointing meal! The only good thing about it was the house wine, although it is not cheap at 200 pesos.

Extremely friendly service saves the day at Argentina Steakhouse. The outdoor seating is nice but the drawback is exhaust fumes with your dinner. The drinks were good and the food was ok as well. Be cautious of anyone wanting to take your photo here as moments later they will emerge with a cheap bottle of tequila for sale that just happens to have said photo on the label.

Craving steak, my husband and I chose the Argentina Steakhouse after we drove by earlier in the day. Best steak we have had during our 7 week stay, travelling around Mexico. So many places don’t understand how to cook a rare steak, but the chef cooked it perfectly, seasoning and flavour were spot on! My mouth is watering as I type this review. The atmosphere, music and cozy seats made our dining experience one to remember! This was such a treat and we will be back for another romantic and wonderful dinner!
