★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hace poco más de 15 años durante el desarrollo inmobiliario del complejo Altabrisa al norte de la ciudad de Mérida, se dió a conocer este gran hallazgo, en su momento esta fue una noticia que acaparó las noticias de los medios locales, y el INAH intervino realizando un rescate de una gran plataforma habitacional y se habló de la existencia de una cancha de pelota (Poktapok), se habló de crear un parque eco Arqueológico para resguardar este asentamiento prehispánico. Desafortunadamente al parecer este proyecto se abandonó, y los vestigios ahora estan ocultos por la maleza y estan quedando en el olvido nuevamente, y algunas personas estan tirando su basura en este sitio. Ojala y las autoridades tomen cartas en esto y se pueda rescatar este fantastico tesoro arqueologico, testigo mudo del origen milenario d nuestra ciudad. Valdria la pena habilitarlo como lo que es, un Parque arqueologico, Y patrimonio histórico de Mérida.
A little more than 15 years ago during the real estate development of the Altabrisa complex north of the city of Mérida, this great find was made known, at the time this was news that monopolized the news of the local media, and the INAH intervened by making a rescue of a large housing platform and there was talk of the existence of a ball court (Poktapok), there was talk of creating an eco-archaeological park to protect this pre-Hispanic settlement. Unfortunately apparently this project was abandoned, and the remains are now hidden by weeds and are being forgotten again, and some people are throwing their trash on this site. Hopefully and the authorities take action on this and this fantastic archaeological treasure can be rescued, a silent witness to the millennial origin of our city. It would be worthwhile to enable it as what it is, an archaeological park, and historical heritage of Mérida.
