Full of local crafts, fairly priced. Locals in attendance to offer assistance or advice. Part of a complete day.

Hand crafted art from obsidian and textiles from the locals. They also heve Xhabentun, a liquor unique to the area. Cash is king here so come ready to bargain. We also had a Mayan birth certificate created while we had lunch at the buffet. They also had a short history lesson before we are that gave us some insight in the people and how they make their living.

TOURIST TRAP for sure. The vendors weren't nearly as annoying as regular street vendors. Didn't buy anything. Bathrooms are free. Some places charge 1 to 2 pesos so that was nice. As an american paying for the toilet, especially the very "rustic" nature of said toilet, comes as a surprise. You don't flush ANY paper, there's a bucket.

Large selection of souvenirs, jewelery, carvings, clothing, artwork etc. This is a stop for many just tours. The building has clean washrooms on site. The staff are artisans or family members of them. They tend to follow you as you browse with a small bowl to place your items into. Don't be intimidated as they're trying to show as much to you as possible. You can negotiate prices.

the jewlery is very expensive and fake. They are selling rings, earrings with the rock "zultanita" and they are not zultanitas. We bought a ring and later when we came back to our city, we checked in a jewlery store and they confirmed that is not zultanita and moreover the ring is not pure silver, it is rodio and silver. Do not buy in this place because it is expensive and they lie

Had a great experience here. Our attendant, Edgar was very nice and helpful with helping us out with finding what we wanted as souvenirs. We purchased some obsidian stones for massage and relaxation along with a large Mayan statue for our home for good fortune and an owl statue for my spirit animal along with our Mayan calendars and a blessing from the shaman. Others may scoff at this place but we enjoyed it!

A little more spendy then the markets but a great stop. Beautiful art, hand crafted birth certificates and licorice liquor.
