Aruma Hotel + Boutique - 77760 Tulum

When we said here the place across the street would play music so loud from about 2am until 7am that you would swear it was in your room. Even with earplugs it was REALLY loud. The other down side was the pool. It was nice that they had one, but it was on the roof and essentially had no railing. I traveled with a toddler and his whole body easilly could have fit through, it would have only taken a tiny slip and he would have fallen a few stories below. We spent a little time on the roof but ultimately had to spend most of our effort keeping him away from the steps and the pool. The interior was beautiful and staff very friendly and helpful. I loved the breakfast included in the morning (delicious spiced coffee). This was about a year ago, so maybe they've shut down the music but if not don't expect to get get much sleep. Hopefully they've fixed up pool railing. I originally left a 1 star review but didn't say why. Thought it was worth it to come back and leave my experience.

The hotel is so conveniently located! The ADO bus drops you off at a 9 minute walk away from the hotel. Everything you need is a short walk away. They also have bikes available to rent there. The beach is a 15 minute bike ride, and the sister hotel is a 20 minute bike ride. The hotel has a modern and boutique feel. The room was very clean and cleaning service was thorough. We had room #7, facing the main street, which means it was probably louder than the back rooms, but we liked the size of it. As others have mentioned, since it's so centrally located, there are clubs across the street that play loud music at night. I just made sure I brought ear plugs, but there was 1 night that was especially louder, so I could still hear the bass - still managed to fall asleep! The breakfast was fresh & tasty - a choice between fresh fruit & yogurt, or eggs, toast & beans, both options come with a coffee and juice. All of the staff were so friendly and welcoming. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Aruma to anyone!

Very nice hotel! Clean, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet for being on such a busy street. Did not originally plan on staying here, but the Airbnb we booked was not great, was able to get a last minute stay here for the remainder of the trip. Very clean room, comfortable beds, air conditioning, and a rooftop pool offering a great view. Super close to ruins (5 minutes by bus?) and a short ride to the beach. Had a great stay.

We spent 4 nights at Aruma, and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Our room was at the rear of the hotel, and we didn't hear any noise from the street or anything while trying to sleep. Comfortable room, a beautiful hotel, and very clean. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious and the perfect way to start our day. We loved the rooftop bar and pool area (it's less crowded first thing in the morning). The best part was the staff. Always friendly, and willing to recommend their favorite restaurants, cenotes, and best options for bike rentals etc. Betty was exceptional, but honestly every staff member was genuinely interested in making sure we enjoyed our time in Tulum. The hotel is perfectly located, with several restaurants and bars nearby. Walking distance to the supermarket, and approximately 30 minutes by bike to the ruins, 25 to the public beach access point. We will definitely be looking at staying here again on our next trip to Tulum.

I bought a swimming trouser from the brand galatea pop! The stitching was all wasted after only 10 days. They did not want to return the trouser or give a refund. Terrible service and stay away from there shop.

The ceviche is absolutely amazing! The margaritas were super tasty! Luis was our server & he was so friendly & attentive! Best server this trip so far!

an absolutely amazing stay with such a sweet helpful staff. great food! great service! great location! can’t wait to go back. shouts out to sophia the front desk girl who helped us out with all of our needs!

Unable to speak for the rooms as we didn't stay here, but the roof top bar is worth the stop in for a drink and some shots.
