★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Es un lugar increíble e histórico, ahí tuvo lugar la última acción armada de La Guerra de Independencia entre el Ejército Realista y los liberales al mando de Don Andrés de Bustamante el 19 de agosto de 1821, que es cuando deberíamos conmemorar nuestra Independencia. Penosamente los parroquianos que asisten ahí a misa no lo saben ni les interesa pese a que hay una placa señalando la efemérife y una pequeña estatua de un indígena con un cañón. Aunque el Ejército Trigarante, al mando de Don Agustín de Iturbide no hizo su entrada triunfal a la capital sino hasta el 27 de Septiembre de 1821. Me avergüenza confesar que, como dijo el ex dictador, tirano y asesino Fidel Castro Ruz : "El pueblo de México sabe más sobre Mickey Mouse que sobre Hidalgo y la Independencia".
