El cáncer infantil no es una enfermedad, sino que es un complejo y heterogéneo numero de distintas enfermedades que, en general, se diferencia de los canceres del adulto en que responden mejor a los tratamientos y tienen una tasa más alta de supervivencia. Todas las enfermedades tienen en común que se originan a partir de una célula maligna que crece sin control, tanto en su sitio original como en otros órganos del cuerpo. Cada una de estas enfermedades que engloban el término de cáncer infantil tiene un pronóstico y un tratamiento diferente.
La incidencia del cáncer en los niños es muy baja 140 casos nuevos al año por cada millón de niños menores de 15 años. Durante las últimas décadas, los avances en las técnicas diagnosticas y en los tratamientos del cáncer infantil han aumentado la supervivencia de estos niños hasta el 76%. Esto es por eso que la fundación Aurobic´s de Corazón a Corazón y su presidenta la Lic. María Aurora Zamora Martínez se ha comprometido desde hace siete años en apoyar a estos niños con diferentes actividades deportivas para recaudar fondos para los niños del hospital civil Dr. Aurelio Valdivieso tratando de que más personas se sumen a esta noble causa, ya que con su apoyo podemos hacer la diferencia entre la vida y la muerte para cada unos de estos niños y tratar de mejorar su calidad de vida.
Entre las actividades realizadas de encuentra la primer carrera Atlética realizada el dia 16 de febrero del 2014; así como también las mega clases de Zumba que se imparten en el llano el último domingo de cada mes; y las clases que se imparten todos los viernes y sábados en las instalaciones del Gym, todo esto con la finalidad de recaudar fondos para estos niños y concientizar a los demás para que se unan a esta noble causa.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Although it looks a bit funky, it has everything you need for a great class or workout for an awesome price. Teachers are excellent and facilities are in good shape. Mrs. Maria Aurora has been in business for 34 years and is an excellent instructor and mentor.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I attended only two times in two and a half months. Gym and equipment are very old and beyond salvage. The lighting is non-existent. The few fans are seldom on. The manager has no clue about customer relations and cares less. The supposed instructor is overweight, uninformed of current thinking and reflects the attitude of the owner. Perhaps this is why there is seldom any clients present. I began happily using the Calypso gym . It is clean, well organized, modern, well-trained, helpful staff and a strong five star in comparison with Aurobic's Fitness gym at a much lower price.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You have all the necessary equipment you need and it’s cheap for a day pass, but nobody wears a mask despite there being signs everywhere. El lugar tiene todo necesitaba para entrenar pero nadie usan cubrebocas a pese de las reglas.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Considering the price of a day pass is double that of other gyms I was expecting a lot more. Sadly, a lot of the machines are in disrepair and not labeled clearly. Sanitation efforts are minimal. I had to ask someone to show me where the spray and cloths were to wipe down machines. This is compared to other gyms that make these easily and abundantly accessible. That being said, it seems like it is a small shop, likely an owner and team doing their best. If you want to support, feel free to drop in.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Be careful! We paid one of the staff in cash for our membership and we were not offered a receipt, nor did we ask for one, which was our fault. However, when we went the next day there was "no record" of our payment and we were not allowed to continue going. It was an amazingly frustrating and disappointing experience.
