Hecha de mármol de diseño llamativo data del siglo XIX. Su creación fue realizada por las del francés Teodoro Giraud, quien contó con el apoyo de Juan Raymundo Lozes, quienes concluyeron su realización en 1863.
Hay que señalar que en un inicio se colocó en otra plaza, en la Plaza Zaragoza, justo enfrente de la Catedral Metropolitana de Monterrey.
En 1894 el Ayuntamiento decidió reubicar la Fuente de los Delfines en la Plaza de la Llave, la que hoy es la Plaza de la Purísima y ahí permanece desde entonces.
The Fountain of the Dolphins
Made of strikingly designed marble, it dates back to the 19th century. Its creation was carried out by the French Teodoro Giraud, who had the support of Juan Raymundo Lozes, who concluded its realization in 1863.
It should be noted that initially it was placed in another square, in Plaza Zaragoza, just in front of the Metropolitan Cathedral of Monterrey.
In 1894 the City Council decided to relocate the Fountain of the Dolphins in the Plaza de la Llave, which today is the Plaza de la Purísima and has remained there ever since.
