Avec Amour - Bistro Fusion - 97000 Mérida

Good food, good service, good prices! My husband and I came for the pre-fixe lunch menu, which included a main course (cheese pasta for me, chicken salad for my husband) as well as a beer and dessert for $295MX. We enjoyed the food and ambiance and would come back again!

I watched an add on Instagram on the dessert and decided to give this restaurant a visit, honestly I had mid range expectations for the food and restaurant. Boy was I greatly mistaken, from the kind attitude of the hostess on the phone, to the care and kindness of the staff. We ordered 2 drinks and 1 meal each and the food has to be hands down some of the best food I’ve tasted in Merida. The size of the meal is a shame would have loved for a larger plate but quality is by far the goal of this restaurant. Would recommend without a doubt if you want to splurge on a meal and order the lemon crumble

Right outside the Merida city center, you can find Avec Amour. Avec Amour offers a variety of dishes with a Mediterranean pinch to them. The service and attention are great. What makes this place a unique spot, it’s how you have the option to either dine inside the beautifully decorated interior, or share the “plaza” with open air dinning experience. They have live music and you will not be disappointed with their wine and drink menus.

The meal was beautifully presented and everything was quite delicious. The only thing I would say about the snapper fish dish I had was it was ever so slightly overcooked. But here in the Yucatan they tend to overcook shrimp and fish a little bit rather than undercook. I would rather that than undercooked. One of the colourful carrots on the plate was not edible at all because it was so hard I couldn't even cut it with a knife. But that really is the worst I can say about this meal. My partner's salad was absolutely delicious he said. It was a great place with great service and a beautiful spot at Santa Lucia park. The dessert was absolutely delicious and it included very lovely little edible flowers on top as you can see in the picture. I would definitely recommend dining here and we would go back again ourselves.

Not my cup of tea! I’ll be very honest about this restaurant! I was expecting more from a “franco/Mexican”fusion, not sure if it’s poorly French or very Mexican average, or maybe I just didn’t get it! Drinks are ok, cheese table is as good as one you can prepare at home, serving portions are reduced at least for dinner, saying that… prices are somehow hi, we ordered Portobello and was not even a complete portobello I would say the half of one, also ordered the chicken, pasta (very dry btw) kiche and salad must say nothing extraordinary, although plating was cute, stay away from guac not the place for it. Service… Unstable… waiters in a hurry to take 2nd course and not explaining the dishes at all, also asking who order what and not preparing the table for the dishes before arriving and expecting the customer to do their moves, also taking plates and drinks before finishing without asking… it’s a clear example of lack of training to their staff… About the place, that park it’s cute, but it’s a public area so be prepared for street sellers and people passing by, we had live music which btw was fantastic. If you ask me and if you go to Santa Lucía Park and you have to choose from the other three restaurants there, pick the others first. I’m not coming back.

The vibe was chill and the setting was great. The food was decent- we only had lunch but the menu looked great. The drinks- were really freaking good. Good spot to people watch and relax. You could tell that some folks were upset about the street vendors walking into the restaurant space- I feel its a part of life and did note that they. Never bothered anyone that was actively eating. Would definitely go back, especially for dinner.

I've been coming here for a year. I enjoy their cocktails and brunch menu. Service is always professional and friendly. They have singers entertaining you during dinner as well. The guy who sings Wednesday to Friday is fabulous! Good food plus good music. Perfect combination!
