It would be a struggle to rate this wonderful facility highly enough. It is a family-run operation and features everything that I could wish for in a whitewater paddling destination and more. I cannot recommend it highly enough. The staff is simply amazing and exceeded every expectation I had. The owner's daughter Sofi - an outstanding paddler and peach of a person, and Jaime - a fearless paddler and all around great guy, guided my group over the week we spent seeking peril in the rivers and canyons of Mexico (lots and lots of that to be found). All the other staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and genuinely seemed to care that we had a positive experience. For example, when I got ill as many folks from the north do, I could have sworn that I had about 6 or 7 mother's fussing over me and making sure I didn't meet what feel like a nearly certain death (12 hours of sheer h-ll). The cooks even made me some pollo caldi (chicken soup) to help me to recover my strength. The rivers in Mexico are simply stunning. There are really no words that can describe their natural beauty. Having a guide on these rivers is almost mandatory. There are many spots that would not have been possible without having them and throw bag at hand for a quick rescue. The food was legit and very good. They were kind enough to leave the spice level up to the individual by putting the sauces/oils on the side. There was more than enough to fill hungry paddlers and it was a treat to see what was on the menu each day. The accommodations were sparse but adequate. Mexicans either prefer their mattresses super-extra firm, or think everyone else does. They weren't terrible, but greatness was not within them either. The bathrooms had all the requirements and functioned fine. We only had room service once during the week and it didn't include any sweeping which, in the tropics, means it got a little messy. The plumbing in Mexico precludes flushing any tissue. With three roommates, we could have used an occasional refresh of the bin in the bathroom. That aside, I have no complaints. For the price, the accommodations were excellent! If you sell adventure a little off the beaten path, Tlapacoyan and Adventurec are an excellent choice. There are rapids here for every skill level and many that run almost regardless of how much precipitation has fallen. I was told that high season is around October. In January, the rivers were low, but still a ton of fun. Just tell the guides what you want. From 100+ foot drops to chill, class II rapids, and ruins go galore from the Olmec/Aztec empires, you can fill every day you have and still barely scratch the surface.

Amazing place to stay, highly recommend for any boaters. Special thanks to Sofia for the assistance, everything from arranging pickup from the airport to transportation and information. Large fleet of boats and the guides are excellent. The cabanas and meals are a package deal and entirely worth doing. Thank you all!!

The staff was incredible! They absolutely went way out of their way to help us out. The cabins were very nice, the food was awesome, and the grounds were incredible! They had a large amount of boats for rent and they were in good condition. I'll be back for sure!

We had a blast! This was our first time rafting and we had our kids (11 and 14) with us, so we were a little nervous. But our guide, Edward, was very friendly, and very thorough with the rules and instructions. We saw the waterfall inside the mountain, drank water from a fresh mountain spring, and rowed until our arms were tired. We fell into the water a couple of times but it was fun. We also stopped a couple of times in the calm part of the river and we were able to swim for a few minutes. It lasted about 3 hours, from 2:30-5:30pm. It was the hottest part of the day, so use sunscreen and take water with you. We parked our car by their office, and they drove us out on a little bus. They have the guide, a 2nd guide to even out our number to 6 for a balanced raft, plus a 3rd guide in a kayak who took pictures of us. We paid $15 (US) for a CD with the over 100 pictures he took. Then they drove us back. We did get very wet so bathing suits are best. They also have little houses you can rent for overnight stays, plus a swimming pool, a fire pit area, dinner and breakfast. For 5 of us, it would've been under $500, including the rafting. Only because we were already starting nearby that we didn't take that deal. The staff was great, the river was beautiful, and the rafting was an awesome experience. Definitely want to go back!

Absolutely amazing. I barely speak any Spanish but the staff was incredibly friendly still. The rafting itself wasn’t too hard or too much of a rush but you get to see some truly amazing scenery, from rope bridges to waterfalls to canyons to jungles and so on…. I was mesmerised. Plus our skipper knew tons about the local flora and fauna, I didn’t expect to get a botany course in the middle of rapids. Highly worth the price.
