Ubicado al sur del estado de Morelos debe su nombre está villa al INSURGENTE FRANSISCO AYALA quien defendió al lado del cura José Maria Morelos a la heroica CUAUTLA durante el famoso sitio y cuyo nombre adoptó el 28 de noviembre de 1911 el líder agrarista Emiliano Zapata, para el documento conocido como Plan de Ayala.
En este lugar se hubica el H Ayuntamiento de Ayala, al frente una plaza, una iglesia, y a la izquierda el Mercado Municipal.
