About Azul Historico

I have been to this place several times and the quality is always great. I love the ambience, the food, and the location. I’ve tried the festival menu as well as the classic one. The online menu is a bit clunky with all the english menu to be in one place. Only complaint is sometimes they have more junior people as servers who are not well trained. This last time we had a really young and impatient and non attentive server. For some reason he was switched with Carlos, an amazing server that i have had the pleasure of knowing him through a few times of visit. Will definitely suggest this location over the one in condesa for visitors. But both are equally great.

Definitely a highlight of any trip to CDMX, with amazing atmosphere and great food. Everything is good, and service is very nice. Make sure you get some mezcal from the cart too

Such a beautiful restaurant. Very friendly staff, that were able to assist me in English. I came for breakfast to have an orange juice and chocolate bread. Both were fresh and tasty. Had i been hungrier I would've had a full breakfast. Highly recommended.

Not good service, food so so We had guacamole which didn't have any avocado flavor then bean tamale, this one was very good. For entree we got the fish in annatto and it was dry and needed more salt. Then we got the mole which was sweet and okay. For drinks we got carajillo, lime water and pinole water which was the best of all the food. Service took forever to take our order and bring the check. Sometimes it felt like there were no waiters available. Our waiting time was 40 minutes on the December holiday season at 4pm. I think there are better restaurants that worth the wait, time and money. Just come here if you really, REALLY want to try it.

Beautiful place with great tasting food. We had the bean tamal, pork tacos and tortilla soup to start. We followed with pollo en mole and pork belly on green sauce, everything was delicious. The staff was always there for anything we needed. They were awesome.

A requisite for anyone coming to CDMX. Worth coming here for the setting alone; a beautiful historic building that carries a sense of wonder and magic. I only had dessert here. Beautiful presentation and just as delicious.

Pros: 1. Nice atmosphere and good presentation Cons: 1. Very average foods. The shrimps I got (450 pesos) tastes like Walmart frozen fried foods. 2. Deceptive waiter. I ordered one tuna appetizer (80) but it came with three (240). I told the waiter they got my order wrong. My waiter brought another waiter who speaks better English telling me that one appetizer is costing more than three. I told him I checked the menu and it’s not true. He later took the dish away and gave me the correct order. I never got an explanation or apology. I’m willing to pay for three but not by being lied to. Did not expect to be lied to at a restaurant at this price point.

A super experience!! We started with the delicious Tortilla soups and a Venison dish. Both were delicious. Ended up having some mole and cochinita tacos. All of them had amazing flavours. The service was amazing, one of the best restaurants I have eaten in Mexico City!!!
