De 1937 hasta su muerte radico en la Cd. de México, desempeñándose los primeros años como maestra en el Instituto Familiar y Social; el trato con las alumnas la animo a su propia institución en el año de 1950, iniciando con el jardín de niños llamado “Niño Jesús”. Con su experiencia en ese nivel, se dio cuenta que las maestras de Jardín de Niños eran personas voluntarias sin la adecuada preparación académica lo que la llevo a fundar en 1954 la “Normal Amado Nervo” .
