P	Paulina Deik on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great experience! They are situated right after Vilasol beach club and you can release baby turtles every day at 17h. The staff explained what they are doing every day to protect sea turtles and clean the beach. The donation is 100 pesos.

The release was at 5:30 we were there at 4:30 because I read in a review you should be there early apparently that is for the high season. As well the turtles are released daily here. We got a talk about the turtles telling us about them what the volunteers are doing here and then got to pick up our turtles, we released finding Nemo turtles. Walk them down almost to the surf and let them go. You can't follow the turtles or touch them but you don't need to it's really cute! All in all a good hour or so entertainment for a great cause! If my daughter wasn't scared of them I'd consider going again.

If you have children over 5 yrs I will definitely recommend this place... under 5 with lots and lots of supervision. What ever you do, PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH THE BABY TURTLES!!!! They will let you take photos all you want. If you are planing on going be there 10 to 15 mins before 5pm. The whole thing will last maybe 30 to 45 mins from when you get there untill you are done including the informational speech they will give you about the turtles. Depending how many ppl show up for the event. Once you show up. Get in line, sing the names of ppl in your group... collect your coconut shell (they will put your little turtle in there) wait for the information about the turtles then you will release your baby ? Have fun! Enjoy!!!

All of the donations go to the sanctuary as the government does not fund it. Yes your turtle may get snatched up by birds, that is the circle of life but the release of them allows the chances of survival to be greater than the true wild. Canadians/Americans be conscious of the building that is attempting to be built right next door. (Oxean by Own Mexico ?) They are trying to build a resort on the beach where the turtles lay the eggs, this will definitely ruin the habitat of wild cats, birds lizards and of course these beautiful turtles, that ONLY lay their eggs on this beach every 10 years. If this resort is built, the turtles will most definitely be extinct soon. Please spread the word, STOP OXEAN FROM BEING BUILT! NO RESORTS IN PUERTO!

However, I feel the whole event feels quite unnatural with lots of people crowding on the beach releasing the turtles. My turtle I’m sure got eaten straight away by the seagulls as they know when to come as they see the crowds so was a bit sad to see.
S	Simon B on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ? Hatching eggs from all along the local coastline are brought here to safely be released in the ocean, once fully hatched. For a couple of pesos, you can take one down to a roped off section of the beach where they then safely race towards their first ocean splash. The staff will walk you through how to safely do it without touching the turtle. ? Getting a taxi back from this beach after everyone is done releasing turtles can take a long long time. When one rolls up, ask the driver to request more taxis from the dispatcher or else you are turtle walking all the way back to your Airbnb.
