★ ★ ★ ★ ★ More expensive than the neighboring fruit markets. They rarely post prices and gouge tourists during high season. Better to go a bit earlier to the one across the street in the mercado as they close at 3pm and the low prices there, are for all clients, not just for locals.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The cashier was extremely rude and was rising the prices on some items that my daughter(she is American with blue eyes) was trying to buy. But whenever I (am Mexican) asked, it was a lower price but still was rude. OK selection of fruit and vegetables. Prices were reasonable but now they change as who you are and if it's high season or not. Will not be coming back to this place. There so many fruterías.
Would recommend if it's close to where you are staying.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the most popular produce stands across the street from Mercado Emiliano Zapata in the Old Town. Great selection of local and imported fruits and vegetables. Local is very cheap, imported like anything can be prohibitive. Due to heat, spoilage occurs rapidly so best to stick to most recently harvested and delivered and daily shopping.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You can find some unusual produce here as well as an assortment of vegan meat replacements - The staff are friendly and often quite busy. The pricing is geared more toward tourists but not unreasonable given its location.
