Our group of 16 50:50 adults:kids of all ages truly enjoyed our stay, it’s amenities and programs! Our younger kids loved the kids programs, the staff were extremely friendly and fun; kept kids entertained and wanted to go back day after day which allowed us some adult time! The friendliest staff I ever seen yet in Cancun, we have been in 5 other all inclusive in the past and this is by far the best service and environment! Food and restaurant (all had beach view) were great and access to other resorts was definitely worth it! The only down side are the rooms! They were old and not as maintained as the rest of the resort but we were only in it to change and sleep! Thank you to Brenda, Elias, and Alejandra from the entertainment group and to Ana, Salvador, and Leo from the Kids club group (our kids loved you so much) they did a good bye party for all of our kids as we boarded the bus!

I went with a couple of groups of friends. We all had a great time and enjoyed the resort immensely. Some of us stayed in the adults only section and some of us stayed in the family section. My room itself was very nice and spacious as well as clean. The concierge as well as the housekeeping staff were amazing. The food was mostly great. You can go to several different places for food all throughout the day. We also tried out several of the restaurants and we were not disappointed. The beaches are amazing if you actually like to swim in the ocean they do have a barrier so that you won't be hit by too harsh of waves. You are able to see fish where you swim and there's lots of little tiki huts and lounge chairs with coverage about. The main lobby is really nice with shops and concierge services for tours and check-in help. Check in took a really long time. And I would say that if you're going to stay here make sure you know your flight before you book because I was charged for my transfers to and from the airport but every other group was not because they knew their flight when they booked. The entertainment and the game room were also some fan favorites. Dancing lessons and music being pumped by the pool and the evenings was very relaxing.

This was hands down one of the best resorts I've ever been to. The service, restaurants, food, amenities, ambiance, grounds, were all just wonderful. I surprised my fiance with a trip here for his birthday, but I was pleasantly surprised with just how wonderful everything was. I thoroughly enjoyed the adults only areas as well. You can't go wrong booking here. We will definitely be back and will also be looking to book at other Bahia Principe resorts.

Great facility. I don't like the fact people go at 6 or 7am and put towels on prime chairs and not be there all day. You need water shoes to go in the ocean. Pretty rocky walk. Facilities are pretty good comparatively. Well groomed and staff always cleaning the facilities and the grounds. This facility with all the resorts at this Bahia is absolutely massive. They have there own transit system which is very well run and frequent. Staff is really great no hassling at all. The Entertainment staff ( Jonathan comes to mind)are awesome and keep everyone active with lots to do. If there is a negative. It's that the buffet doesn't have enough plates. You search high and low at times to try and find a plate. The chefs also need to learn how to do more than 1 thing at a time. The staff at the bars have no eagerness to serve you, and usually find it better to talk amongst themselves. I don't understand why there's 5 staff behind the bar, yet only 1 unmotivated person serves a line of people 1 at a time.

My first time at this resort and I definitely will return. Have been to many resorts in the Cancun area and the people at this resort were so friendly. The waitresses at the pool were very efficient and knew exactly what my group was drinking. The food was always excellent more selection of food if you go right when the buffet opens. The entertainment staff went above and beyond and were super engaging for all ages. Alejandro is a excellent manager of the team and his activities are always so much fun. I especially enjoyed his water aerobics were so much fun! Elias, Bernardino, Alejandra, Brenda, William were all apart of the entertainment team. They are very hard working individuals and made my time at the resort extremely memorable.

Kids Club was the best of our vacations, we had the best time because off them, we would go back to this hotel only for the great team that works in the Kids Club. Gabi, Leo, Anna, Salvador, Marisol and Wendy were fantastic and took amazing care of my 4 year old daughter. Great job Guys!!!! you made our days!!! In the lobby buffet Erick and his helper Jose, took great care of us. my coffee was not empty and they where all ready on their way with more, they even remember how each one of us liked it. they will spoil my daughter very day with different delicious drinks! great job guys! We came back every day instead of truing new places just for them.

My husband and I just got back from our honeymoon here and it was the best experience! The resort looks exactly how it's portrayed online, like paradise! Everything was extremely well-kept and clean and the beds were very comfortable. The staff was incredibly kind and friendly and they all genuinely wanted to get to know the guests and ensure we had the best experience. Anytime someone found out it was our honeymoon, they congratulated us and asked us how our stay was going. On our last night there the staff even put rose petals on our bed in the shape of a heart and wrote the word "Love". The restaurants were amazing the food was delicious everywhere we ate. We met several older couples who have been coming to this exact resort for over 20 years and swear that it's the best and my husband and I both agree with all of them! We are definitely making this our annual vacation spot and will continue to recommend this to our friends and family.

This jewelry store is located in the lobby of Grand Bahia Principe Akumal. They have jewelry, wood sunglasses, and fun animal art pieces for sale. There are a lot of pieces with coloured stones in them and some lovely big eccentric art jewelry pieces that depict butterflies and ocean scapes. You can try anything on that you would like. Most pieces are made of silver. The staff are fairly friendly.
