Do not stay there! this place is horrible, there’s 1 million stairs just to go to your room, the Customer service is the worst I’ve ever experience

Spent two nights here in Guanajuato City and it was an amazing experience. I loved the location and the UNBELIEVABLE VIEWS, you get a pass to the Funicular, and the friendly and helpful staff made my stay easy. The only negative thing I could say was the noise at night (Guanajuato is so alive at all hours), but you have to learn to appreciate it as part of the culture, and part of the charm of the city. If I ever come back to Guanajuato, I hope I get to stay at Balcon del Cielo again. Gracias a todooos!

This hotel has AMAZING views. Seriously wonderful. It's very close to the monument Pipila and has emediate access to shopping and the finicular. The down side are: the receptionist is not very informative or helpful. You have to knock on the door in the night to get into the hotel and then wait for someone to come open it. If you are out late or wanna be out early you have to find another way to get to the center of town because the finucular is closed. The walls are thin so if your neighbors are noisy you'll hear them. Our room wasent great. The couch looked like it had been a cats screeching post, our curtains were ripped and had holes in them, the bathroom doors were smudged also you don't really have privacy if you go in the bathroom as the doors are glass and the slide, again you can hear it all. We got changed to a better, cleaner more well kept room, but still felt the other down sides. Overall, if probable stay again if it was the only economical choice that made sence but I would be thrilled about it.

Stayed in the king room with the giant tub. Exceptional views and free funicular and ez access make this a nice stay. Tub was great one day but no hot water the following morning to fill the tub but once was really enough to enjoy our one night stay. They need an ice machine to enjoy cold wine or champagne with the beautiful tub/jacuzzi. Construction is ongoing at this time from checkin til 6 and of course mornings. So siesta might be difficult. Excellent staff. There are stairs so if you have mobility issues please check with staff first.
