★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Recently renovated, expanded and upgraded, this former roadside barbacoa stand in a garage now boasts an enlarged and attractive dining room.
The specialty is delicious barbacoa de borrego a la penca, served with freshly made tortillas. They now offer other dishes, such as carne asada, but we have not tried them.
Service is leisurely at times, and if you order a freshly squeezed orange juice with your meal, a staff member goes across the highway to a neighboring juice stand to obtain it.
Prices are reasonable. The place is clean.
