★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sweet little place. Quaint rooms. Great location. Nice outdoor seating area. Comfy hammock on front porch of each room. Good prices! Would like to see hand towels and wash cloths in the room. Mattresses were hard...could benefit from softer mattress toppers for more comfort. Otherwise pretty perfect place for the great price. Nice large bathroom and shower. Refrigerator in room. Microwave outside on covered patio area. Very nice and thoughtful staff! We really enjoyed this hotel.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If i could rate this hotel a zero i would. Service was absoultely appalling and they tried to rob me of my money. My partner and I booked and reserved a room at Barrio Latino hotel, we arrived at 10:30 at night ready to settle in and the guy at the counter said we didn’t have a reservation even though we had our confirmation on email and he kept on saying it was cancelled and he already gave our room away. Later on did we find out from my bank that the hotel tried to do 3 transactions from my credit card, $700, $200 and $700 Canadian dollars. I advise you please dont try book online for this hotel...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ All perfect, super nice staff, very good location and comfortable and tidy rooms. Quite noisy at night but we didn’t mind.
Enzo (the red gato) made our stay!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Close to the beach, simple but decent rooms. Friendly staff. Room cleaning only ince every two days.
Strangely, they don't even have glasses in the rooms. But i saw this somewhere else in the area, so maybe this is how they do it in Mexico.
Overall, good value for money.
If you are there, go to the Machu Pichu Peruvian restaurant around the corner on 10th avenue, and get some amazing food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing. We had a wonderful experience. The staff went above and beyond to satisfy us during our stay. We vaguely mentioned it was our 30th wedding anniversary celebration and the staff arranged a pleasant surprise. We can not wait to return. Mannes biergarten across the street is equally impressive. And the Italian restaurant and coffee shop are exceptional.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would have given this a 4/5 but it didn't go great at the end. There is some noise from a local club but it was tolerable (depending in what room you get). We wanted to say an extra night, but we had to switch rooms based on availability. The new room we were offered was the last one. It was very, very loud, had a broken door, and a broken bed -- we were in the room for maybe 2 mins. This was of course unacceptable so we asked for our money back and were charged a cleaning fee. It felt like a scam, especially because the guy acted confused about our explanation for why we didn't like the room and had told us that it wasn't loud (we have ears!) and the music would stop at night (we had been there 4 nights already and knew better).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This would have been a four or even five star review but they scammed us on the last night. We wanted to stay one more night than we had planned, so we asked and they agreed, but had to put us in a different room. We said that was fine but asked if was going to be a quiet room, as the one we stayed in for the first four nights had thumping music all night until 7AM. While we knew that playa is just a celebratory and noisy town, we were hoping for a little more quiet while inside our room. With white noise from my phone it was tolerable. The second two nights we stayed there the AC went out and we were told it was “common” so we were actually glad to get another room as long as it was quieter. We were told it was as quiet. When we got to the new room, all we could hear was the thumping of the clubs around this place. The bed was smaller than the first room, and when we put our bags on the bed we noticed that it was broken (springs were gone or broken) on one side. With the loud music and broken bed we knew we wouldn’t be able to sleep there so we asked if we could get another room. We were told that was the only available room. We were not told that if our bags enter the room and we decide it’s too noisy we’d be charged a cleaning fee…which is what happened when we said we weren’t going to stay in the hotel an extra night. We tried to argue the fee, as we were up there a total of five minutes or less, but they claimed they couldn’t do anything about it. Getting charged a cleaning fee when we didn’t even touch a light switch combined with the noise and broken AC for two of the four nights is why I’m giving this hotel two stars. The cat was adorable though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rooms are clean, cosy and well equipped.
Location is amazing.
Some reviews mention loud noise from the parties; we stayed at room 13 and it was absolutely fine and quiet for us; we felt extremely comfortable especially knowing how many other hotels in Playa are much closer to night clubs.
They also have a house cat, a nice patio area and extra towels to rent to go the beach.
The Wi-Fi was OK, albeit a bit slow at times.
All in all an amazing place, highly recommended.
