★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sin duda es una de las Iglesias más bonitas que me ha tocado conocer, los colores, el interior, todo está en armonía. Además tiene historias fabulosas. Si vas por la tarde te recomiendo uno de los elotes que venden afuera.
 Without a doubt it is one of the most beautiful churches that I have had to know, the colors, the interior, everything is in harmony. It also has fabulous stories. If you go in the afternoon I recommend one of the corn sold outside.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sin duda alguna uno de los templos más bellos que he visitado, pues en ésta catedral se encuentra la Virgen del Carmen, Patrona del mismo lugar ya que según los pobladores fue encontrada en ese mismo pueblo por un pescador el cual al ser descubierta fue llevada en dos ocasiones a otro poblado, al parecer a la diócesis católica de la región ubicada en otro poblado, pero por la fé de los pobladores la virgen volvía a ser su aparición en el mismo lugar de donde había sido sustraída, los pobladores al ver tan maravillosa manifestación decidieron levantarle un bello templo en honor a la Virgen del Carmen, patrona de ese lugar... Catemaco Veracruz. Excelente lugar de 10.
Undoubtedly one of the most beautiful temples that I have visited, because in this cathedral is the Virgen del Carmen, Patron of the same place since according to the settlers was found in that same town by a fisherman who when discovered was taken in two occasions to another town, apparently to the catholic diocese of the region located in another town, but for the faith of the settlers the virgin returned to be its appearance in the same place from where it had been stolen, the settlers to see so wonderful manifestation decided to raise a beautiful temple in honor of the Virgen del Carmen, patron of that place ... Catemaco Veracruz. Excellent place of 10.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un lugar agradable y bien cuidado puede permanecer en penumbra por algunos minutos ya que se les pasa encender la luz exterior en la noche pero nada que le quite la belleza a este lugar
A nice and well-kept place can remain in darkness for a few minutes since they forget to turn on the outside light at night, but nothing that takes away from the beauty of this place.

The Basilica is very well maintained. The first mass is at 6:00 am. The campaigns start ringing early.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A beautiful basilica that sits atop a hill over looking Catemaco Lake. The basilica is holds the holy image of 'La Virgen del Carmen', the matriarchal saint of Catemaco. The figure sits above the altar and was originally found by a fisherman on the shores of the lake. Her image was taken from the lake to the basilica. The basilica is a place to visit in Catemaco. Please be respectful and reverent when entering.
