An incredible good surprise in the road from SMA to Dolores. The food is just sublime, the surprise flavors burst in your mouth. Great service, great food, nice decor. Motto be missed.

As my girlfriend would simply describe it “Pasa” ( its ok) . They try too hard on many levels, pretentious place. The Juicy Hamburger is poor in texture and the taste isn’t great , like eating an amateur soya bean burger. Potatoes had a great creamy sauce but the strong spice on the outside cover all up . We liked the best a salad and the bread we where served .

The place in San Miguel de Allende. Aida and Jorge were the perfect hosts and the food is unreal!! The veggie burger is insane and the risotto was incredible!!

This kool industrial chic place is made entirely with freight containers... but the real star is the food!!! Chef Jorge Arendano has worked at Noma restaurant in Denmark, one of the worlds most famous eateries (google it). The Mayan tonic cocktail I had was outstanding! Original, smooth bitter aromatics - a nice high! The beet salad, oven bake cauliflower and burrada appetizers proved to be highly original creations bursting with surprising flavors. My local roasted chicken ? was superb, with a caramelized skin and carrot purée. White chocolate creme brûlée, sublime!! This is truly a foodies paradise in the middle of nowhere (actually conveniently located near SMA’s main Hot Springs)...

So nice to get - even a little ways - out of town for a nice meal in a rustic- chic spot. I’ve seen this described as a beer garden, and although it has great artisan beers, it doesn’t have the beer garden vibe. Delicious food prepared with thoughtful detail. Veggie burger is amazing! They often have live music as well. Nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Yummy craft cocktails, but don’t be in a hurry about it.

Best name ever! Bastardos is a set up sort of like a trendy, upscale industrial spot for fine food and drinks and socializing. It is in a small “mall” of restaurants which share a large open area in the back where there are shared restrooms, a small area where kids can play, or for adults to maybe socialize in the fresh air. There are choices, but Bastardo is THE choice….especially if you only make it out there once. It is covered but open air for the warmer weather, with the ability to lower walls and turn on heaters when it cools. They offer a full bar with excellent cocktails and a nice selection of beer and wine. The food is impressive: beautiful presentation, and even better taste. With distinct flavors In complimentary combinations, every dish my wife and I tried was excellent. Leave room for dessert if you can! I put descriptions of our dishes in the captions below my pics. They do offer different specials for each day of the week.

Awesome restaurant, 15 minutes down the road from the city center of San Miguel de Allende. Great food, kind and quick service, laid back atmosphere, and fair prices. Highly recommended to avoid the hassle of eating in the city.
