★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Me gusto mucho este lugar!! 5?+ The best $197 pesos I've spent in Mexico! Incredible deal on Mondays and Fridays! I had three delicious margaritas and an incredible burrito for $197 pesos!!! This is my favorite place so far of all of Mexico! Great location with unobstructed views of Lake Chappalla, the night life, and great English music playing! I listened to Nirvana, Louis Armstrong and a great mix. I don't normally write reviews this length, but I enjoyed my time here so much and feel like I received incredible value for my money, and the place was empty besides for me this Monday night! I literally can't believe it as I'm having such a gooood time here!!! Great service, food, ambiance, location ?????!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Caution though we don't know for sure ....we're convinced we were poisoned here.feb 28 2022 we stopped here for a beer and oysters the oysters were not cold or on ice that should have been an indicator.but they smelled and tasted ok.coming from a family of commercial fisherman in canada we were meticulous about cleanliness and refrigeration.im skeptical all mexican operations are the same.i suggest only eating seafood fully cooked.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ No service or acknowledgement at all on a night they were open. Maybe 10 tables with people. Plenty of staff but just ignored
Had mask and even asked if we should seat ourselves. Finally left seeing they were not busy and not interested in more business.
Been here before, has a good people watching spot, noisy when busy and food was average a few years ago.
Will never go again amd certainly not try to take guests there!

The Beer Garden is set on the lake front, across from Chapala's church. It's an expansive restaurant with excellent panoramic views of Lago de Chapala.
Service is warm and friendy and the food is excellent. Prices, too, are fair, given the prime tourist location of this restaurant.
Pro Tip: Be sure to get the table guacamole.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We started with our day in Chapala at the Beer Garden restaurant. The restaurant has a great view of the Chapala lake. Prices are fair given the restaurant is right on the malecon. We spent about $150 to $200 mexican pesos per person. I ordered chilaquiles rojos served with eggs they were good. It would of been nice maybe a little more hot and spicy. My sister ordered enchiladas she also said it could of been a little more flavor. My brother in law ordered the agua chile. He definitely said for his taste this agua chile was not hot and spicy at all. It was actually a sweet tasting agua chile since it had pieces of mango in it. Not what my brother-in-law wanted. We also ordered the shrimp molcajete it was good cheesy. Coffee ok not strong at all.
