BellView Historic Hotel Boutique - 48300 Puerto Vallarta

This is a magical little gem in the heart of Old Puerto Vallarta....absolutely beautiful, with stunning views, a very helpful staff, and a wonderful dining room (complete with violinists at night). If you are looking for the opposite of a big cookie-cutter hotel-chain, THIS IS IT.

There is no other place in Vallarta that I would rather be! The staff is stellar and the views are perfect!

Beautiful place, however if you want quiet, this is NOT the place. The restaurant is directly adjacent to the rooms and each there is musical entertainment. It’s very very loud and disruptive. I chose this hotel since it is away from the busy nightlife and what we got was a live concert each and every night. The owner has no regard for the guests staying there. To make it worse, the patrons of the restaurant feel compelled to ring the church bells which are about 20 feet from your room. Nice huh? I had a headache for 5 days. Avoid staying here if you want to relax in peace.

Stayed three nights. Beautiful hotel with super clean rooms and friendly staff. Great view from the rooms and balcony. Absolutely no complaints and we hope to stay there again.

Off to a rocky start, air conditioning in our room was broken and we had to be moved to a different room after they could not get it fixed. Which turned out fantastic and made our stay magical. Staff there were amazing, very accommodating and helpful. It all depends on what you’re looking for, since the church bell goes off every 15mins 24/7, and gets pretty crazy during service hours. You’d also be able to hear the live music from the restaurant as well as fireworks from the pirate boat on the water every night. Personally, I find every little detail, sound, decor extremely charming and romantic, I was in constant awe! Few things to point out, not sure how they set the standard for the towel cleaning, as they might charge you $20USD for each stained towel. Not the best in soundproof (but reasonable), we can hear all the phone rings, cutlery drops from the restaurant. The front toilet near the door smells, maybe because of the old drainage system. The hotel is located top of the hill, there will be a lot of stairs in and out of the hotel room. Other than above tiny issues, this is an amazing stay, strongly recommend anyone wanting a bit of romance on their trip! Love love love
