I've done a handful of trips down to the points of Salina Cruz and Christian at Be Sombaya Surf has always gone above and beyond to make sure the trip was the best it could possibly be. From getting us on amazing waves at the points that best suited the conditions, to stories about the region, fresh "Secret Recipe" ceviche post surf, ice cold beers and much more. I will return and it WILL be with Christian.

Christian runs an Extremely professional program! Every day his mom made the best food that I’ve ever had! We left when we wanted to and came home whenever needed! Surf was amazing but the only thing that was better was the service.

Been all over the globe with friends chasing waves… this set up is pretty incredible, the crew is on it! Hustle goes along way with me and these guys are on it. Off the path doesn’t matter with the set up of the surf, yer going to be hoping from point to point in a car anyway, it’s about 20 min away from Conejo which didn’t disappoint. The food has been fantastic!!! And on time!!! Such amazing hospitality!!! Spoke w several people in the line ups about our program and EVERYONE was jealous. If yer on the fence??? Book it. Christian and the crew was great and so were the waves! Hope this helps you make a decision!!!!

I live in San Diego and my dad and I wanted a quick and easy surf trip. This is BY FAR the best place to go. First of all the SURF was amazing. I am 27 and my father is 68 so they had waves that fit both of us. Not just good waves but some of the best waves I have ever surfed in my life. Sand bottom right and point breaks that go on forever. Just google Mason Ho in Mexico or Salina Cruz Surf and you will see. Second the STAFF is amazing. Family owned business run by Christian. He is a great guy who truly loves to surf and show people around where he grew up in Salina Cruz. His friend Arturo is another legend! He grew up with Christian as well, so you have two down to Earth guys who can show you all the best surf spots. They can also show you around the town which is beautiful! Last is the FOOD. Christian's mother is the chef and her food is some of the best, most authentic Mexican food I have ever tasted. They serve you breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the camp and also bring snacks during the surf sessions. All you have to pay for is the beer and mezcal. Oh also the camp is amazing too. right near the town and a short drive away from tons of surf spots. The beds are super comfy and can get as cold as you want with the AC. Honestly an amazing experience that anyone would enjoy. Reasonably priced and a breeze to get to.

From start to finish, Christian provided us with his undivided attention. He arrived each morning with an attitude and excitement for waves. We were able to explore some nice local breaks to the bigger more crowded spots, as well as, a boat tour ("Give it an hour") to perhaps the best waves of the trip! He was always well prepared and up for anything. Can't thank him enough for going above and beyond! Will certainly be back...

We had a group of 8 who were heading to surf Salina Cruz. All the main surf camps were booked. We contacted Christian at BeSombaya because I was referred by a friend who always stays with him. I'm stoked we did! Christian and his team gave our group of 8 awesome food, great rooms, and the BEST customer service. He gave us his recommendation on where would be good for wind and waves every morning but left it up to us to decide where we wanted to surf. Boards were packed for us every morning and we surfed all day with no worries. If you want to eat, sleep, and surf, go here. I'll be staying with BeSombaya again.

Been down to BeSomnaya twice now. Never lets down. Christian the proprietor is a true legend and knows the territory like the back of his hand. He goes out of his way to put you into the best waves possible, always willing to get off the beaten path in search of uncrowded lineups. The vibes are welcoming and the entire staff makes every effort to treat you like family. Salina Cruz has no shortage of surf guides but I wouldn’t consider rolling with anyone else. Heading back this year for our third trip.

Best surf trip I’ve ever had, hands down. It’s tricky trying to determine the best place to go from thousands of miles away; so read these reviews and book with Christian. The set up was awesome! Cool AC in all of the rooms, awesome bar area to chill after a long day of surf, and I cannot say enough about the food his Mom cooks fresh every day! The guys took us to multiple locations chasing waves and took care of everything. We had a group of 8 and NONE of us wanted to leave. The waves were great and the customer service was even better! We will use him EVERY time we go back without a doubt.
