 It is the main library of the National Polytechnic Institute located at one end of Zacatenco. It has spaces for courses, workshops and conferences as well as a large section of scientific, academic and general books.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La Biblioteca Central del IPN se llama Ingeniero Salvador Magaña Mejía y está instalada, desde 1946, en el edificio que fue construido entre 1922 y 1924 como taller de electricidad del Instituto Técnico Industrial, con una estructura de acero comprado en Monterrey y con techos inclinados y tejas. Este edificio originalmente estaba a unos 70 metros de su ubicación actual, en donde se cruzan el Circuito Bicentenario y la calle de Manuel Carpio. Fue precisamente al abrir la ampliación de esta última calle que el edificio fue desmantelado y trasladado a su ubicación actual y adaptado para biblioteca.
The Central Library of the IPN is called Ingeniero Salvador Magaña Mejia and installed since 1946 in the building that was built between 1922 and 1924 as electrical workshop of the Technical Industrial Institute with a structure of purchased steel in Monterrey and sloping roofs and roof tiles. This building was originally about 70 meters from its current location, where Bicentenario and Circuito Manuel Carpio Street intersect. It was precisely the opening extending this last street that the building was dismantled and moved to its current location and adapted for library.
