La aventura, característica de nuestros antepasados, unos partieron de la cuna de la civilización Mixteca establecida en San Miguel Achiutla, Oaxaca. Sus metas, era encontrar lugares providentes para el cultivo por la fertilidad de la tierra y agua abundante. Así llegan a San Juan Achiutla, que a través del tiempo, continúan con su peregrinación hasta llegar al territorio del hoy Santiago Yolomecatl, para después irse posicionando poco a poco en diversos lugares en Cacicazgos.
