About Bikes and Munchies
Our background story is unique. Love was, and still is, the energy that motivated us to believe that a bicycle’s Project can create a change in the way we travel, and in our lives.
We, the founders, Paola (Mexican) and Sven (German) met back in 2017 thanks to a famous dating App while he was traveling in Mexico. After a few months of love distance, we decided to live together in Mexico City. Once here, we realized that bicycles were a shared passion as well as great food. The combination of skills and ideas, German planning and Mexican local knowledge, lead us to create a unique experience based on bicycles and street food.
Today the team has grown, the small project has developed into a top ranking experience, the bicycle movement is huge worldwide, Mexican food is as delicious as always and we are married.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’m so glad I came across this tour when planning our brief trip to Mexico City for the first time. Isaac and Andrea were great guides and the cycling was neither particularly taxing, nor felt unsafe in the traffic. We would never have had such a varied experience of authentic Mexican food on our own. We started with a tasting of different types of tamales at the meeting place before we set off, and then we stopped at a number of street food stalls to sample their wares. One of the highlights for me was visiting Medellin market and its incredible variety of fruit, vegetables and food products. So many new tastes and sights! Isaac gave us a historical overview of Mexico towards the end, which was fascinating. He clearly knows a lot. We ended with delicious churros, beer and mezcal. Oh, and dried grasshoppers, for the more adventurous among us! Highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the only way to see Mexico city. Sebastian and Elias are true locals and real experts on both the history and the food. You go to genuinely authentic places and try lots of things off the beaten track, you'll not have better food or a better time in Mexico city. I'm not a big bike rider but the guys make it so safe for you, and I enjoyed riding around the beautiful parts of the city. I cannot rate the tour highly enough, just go and do it.

Thank you for making my Mexico City experience even better. They will take you to parts of the city that, as a tourist, you will never know existed! Literally off-the-map food stands. IMPORTANT NOTE: they are very accommodating with dietary restrictions. They are experts when it comes to good food of any kind inside Mexico City.

He was very knowledgeable about the history of the city and even managed to accommodate my vegan diet on all the food stops we had! Would definitely recommend this to any foodie that is visiting mexico city !

Professionally done and even though riding bikes in Mexico City, everything was done to assure our safety and comfort. The information was interesting and our tour guide engaging. The small bite at the end , authentic and perfect. So delicious. We were so glad to have had taken this tour. It was a great way to get to know Mexico City. Highly recommended !!!!?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was an incredible experience!! Isaak was a fantastic guide, really knowledgeable and great fun to spend the day with. The bikes were comfy, well maintained and we felt safe and looked after all day. We ate the BEST and most DELICIOUS street food. Honestly 10/10. And you get to see all the best parts of Mexico City and learn about the history and anthropology of this great place. Do it!
