★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I took this Spanish class a few months ago and honestly it was very discouraging, so discouraging that I haven't been able to practice Spanish for months because I feel so paralyzed and significantly less confident than before the class. This is a textbook learning class and I don't think that is emphasized enough. This is NOT a conversational Spanish class. We used the exact same McGraw Hill textbook that I used in high school.
I think it is important to decide what kind of Spanish you want to learn, conversational everyday get-around-Mexico Spanish or focus on grammar, mechanisms and sentence structure? If you are looking for the latter than this is a good school, if you are looking for more conversational, I would recommend elsewhere.
The owner and the teachers are all really nice, so no problems there. I think it's more of curriculum and the structure of the program that is the problem.
