★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Property owners here so perhaps slightly prejudiced in its favor. Lovely grounds, well maintained. Mix of renters and owners. Most renters seem long term, months if not years. Residents and staff easy going and friendly. Hardly any turnover among the staff. English is spoken almost exclusively. As typical of Ajijic BoP houses "more mature" Americans and Canadians. No prohibitively expensive ( for a middle class American with a decent retirement package) but hardly cheap living. No conducive for people with mobility issues, especially people living on upper level. 24/7 security at gates. Conveniently located for walking or driving a car. Filtered water available for drinking and cooking. No need to buy huge hugs of water. New construction underway near by.
