★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you want experience the most Mexico has to offer, and not stray too far from the US, this Is the place for you. The Mexican specialty of Birria de res has been served here since 1994. Very rich taste, and tender, served with unique sopas of corn with butter. Comes with a plate of condiments of onion, lettuce, and limes. Homemade Chile is in the ketchup bottle. Very potent. The owner is from Nayarit and brought his local recipe of birria de res to Nogalas. Very tranquilo, everyone is very welcoming and friendly. Banda music played in the kitchen with inspiration.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you get a chance to come down to Old Mexico... This little place is a must if you're a fan of birria. It's a little tricky to find... But it's really one of those places that will leave a lasting impression on your palate. They make a little dish that's like a almost pastry type, but it's not sweet... Then you put the meat and cheese on that and it's incredible.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The very best Birria in Nogales, delicious gordita style hand made tortillas with butter, quesadillas are made with the same tortilla open top, tacos are good too but not the best value, overall loved the place, takeouts are available but really slow to serve.
