Regresaré por más! The place is beautiful. Today I just had a very good coffee. I loved the reception, the service and the glass of water that allowed me to enjoy my coffee even more. Nous avons commandé deux de leurs cocktails signatures (celui à base de Gin et celui à base de Pox) et ils étaient incroyablement réussis et équilibrés. De plus le lieu est tout simplement magnifique, un grand espace ouvert couvert d’une verrière, richement végétalisé et superbement décoré : matières brutes et meubles au design contemporains mais rappelant avec goût la grande époque des explorateurs de la fin du XIXe. Le bar est d’ailleurs un hommage à Franz Blom, archéologue spécialiste du Chiapas et décédé à San Cristobal en 1963. This newly opened venue is a must for any cocktail lover. We ordered two of their signature cocktails (the Gin based one and the Pox based one) and they were incredibly well balanced. In addition, the place is simply magnificent, a large open space covered with a glass roof, richly planted and superbly decorated: raw materials and furniture with contemporary designs but tastefully reminiscent of the great era of explorers at the end of the 19th century. The bar is also a tribute to Franz Blom, an archaeologist specializing in Chiapas who died in San Cristobal in 1963.

The drink said it came with orange juice, papaya and lime. When we received it it was a light green color and when we drank it, it tasted like the lime flavor of electrolyte’s with maybe a tablespoon of mezcal. This was honestly the worse drink I have ever ordered, we both couldn’t drink it. We sent it back and bartender got very upset with us so we decided to cancel our food as well, as the whole experience became very awkward. We tried to walk out and he gave us a bill for 500 peso’s. They demanded we pay for food and drink that we never enjoyed or liked. I do not recommend going here it’s a tourist trap and the bar tender will make fun of your Spanish. Let me be clear this places prices is meant for tourists so they should be more friendly to people that don’t speak fluent Spanish.

This is the new go to locale for romantic meetings, assignation, business or just solo day/night out. Not inexpensive but the amenities make up for the few extra pesos you will spend. Go and explore the vibe of Blom. I'll be back again and again.
