+ Size of the dorms is nice, beds have curtains. Nice Swimming pool, good activities. Mostly young backpackers that are looking for party. Breakfast is included, yet very basic. AC is working well in the rooms at night. - Not always clean in the shared bathrooms ( due to lots of young people who are partying), breakfast very basic. Quite expensive for what it has to offer. WLAN not working well all the time.

Agreed to refund me and never did. Thankfully I filed a dispute with my bank showing the email proof and they clawed back the money. Avoid. Scam. Fraud.

I really enjoyed the time there. The stuff are nice and speak English. There is a community kitchen and a nice bar. The pool is clean and big and there's a lot of seating places next to it. The room and the showers were clean and comfortable. Highly recommended!

Scammers. PROMISED A REFUND BUT NEVER DID. They made a mistake with our reservation and agreed to cancel part of the reservation and give us a refund for what we were overcharged. They asked for my card, put it on the card machine and supposedly processed the refund. 4 days later (when we were leaving) we hadn't yet received the money, so I went back and speak to the manager that had processed the refund (Rafeek), who said not to worry because it was sent to their finance department and that it'd take up to 7 days. I said I wasn't comfortable leaving the country without having received the money, and the manager (Rafeek) assured me I shouldn't worry, that he would send me an email with the confirmation and give me his personal phone number as he didn't want us to think that they were trying to keep our money. Naive of me to believe him. Few days later I sent him an email asking for the refund, to which he said that they never agreed to such refund (although they did the card machine show, and our reservation was cancelled and beds were booked by someone else). Since then, the manager has stopped replying to my emails and refuses to give me the contact details from their boss. I am pursuing legal action against them for scamming, and reporting them to PROFECO (Mexico's government consumer rights agency). Please avoid this hostel - if there are no issues with your reservation it'll probably be fine, but if there is the slightest issue they just won't sort it out for you, and will keep your money if they have the chance. If you do finally go to this place, make sure you pay with a credit card that has a good enough insurance to avoid getting scammed like we did.

Pros: comfy beds, good parties if you are the mood Cons: staff don’t care, not much info when you arrive. bad if you want an early night, WiFi is garbage, no shared kitchen / fridge

Best hostel I ever stayed at. Bonita Escondida ended up being my home for a month because I liked it so much. It many rooms but therefore spacious outside area with big clean pool and a rooftop workout area aswell as an outdoor kitchen an big bar. The bed are veeeeery comfortable and the staff is very friendly. The location is perfect for a stay in Puerto Escondido because it right at the start of the street in la punta with lots of gorgeous restaurants, bar and shops. The beach is 5 min away from the hostel. If you book directly through they’re website it’s cheaper than Hostelworld or booking and co.

The stay was great. Only they charged me for 3 people instead of 2, which was fine because the manager said my refund would be there in a week. I’m writing this more than 3 months later and I still haven’t gotten my refund! They are also ignoring my emails on purpose, where they first replied very quick. I hope to get my refund someday but I really doubt it. A girl before us also had troubles with her refund so beware of this hostel!!!

Well, we felt like at home, great people, great setup, great parties. Alex made sure people are kept entertained. Rooms are clean, safe and the best thing is, despite being a party hostel , there is almost complete silence after midnight, so you can party or have a decent sleep if you wish.
