★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place that has a squirrel is wonderful. You cut a tree and they plant another. They have tons of different trees and kids with orange caps to help you put your tree on the roof of your car. Also a Bazar where you can find hand made christmas presents. A large place to eat mexican food quesadillas, sopes, soaps, etc. A place where you can pet deer. You can enjoy an all day cutting your tree, buys well prized presents, eat and pet deer.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great selection of Douglas Firs (well-trimmed) and super organized, as long as you speak some Spanish. Pick up your saw and baling net/twine at the entrance, drive in as far as you like (the place is huge), cut the tree, and bale it yourself (or pay one of the staff 20 pesos to do so), and pay as you leave. Entrance is well-marked and the park feels very safe.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Christmas tree farm is awesine! This year it opens from 20 November and it's free to enter. To get there from Mexico City by public transport, you can go to the eastern bus terminal (Tapo) to take a Volcanes or Sur bus (there's also a combi van, but I don't know where you can take it) for MXN$35 and around an hour and a half, you can get off the highway where there's a big sign that says Bosque de los Arbulos de Navidad and start walking from there (perhaps for around 15 minutes). There you can already see some stalls selling Christmas trees and some other handicraft stuff. Along the way to the forest, there are some merchants and stalls selling handicraft stuff, juices, and alcohol but there are more options on site at their Bazar. There are also some ranches with rides and horses along the way. At the Bazar, there are free bathrooms and there are also some places to eat near that area. The forest is quite big and you'd need your own car to navigate it, but the closest farm is only around a 5-minute walk from the entrance and there are already plenty of trees in different species and sizes there.
It's seemingly managed by Hacienda Panoaya so you can go there after getting a tree. That's a very, very nice place to be too!
