I rented a car Jan 18 to Jan 24 2021, their cars are old. Dirty and need maintenance. The personnel at the counter are incompetent and they try to make you pay more than what it is. They don’t respect your reservation fare as well as the insurance fare that has been paid for when reserving. DONT rent from this place. They have he worst service. First and last time I will ever rent from them!!!!!!!!!

If I could give a 0 star rating I would. These people did not honor my online reservation which included insurance. The person at the front desk Rosalio said there was no way he would honor my reservation. I called Budget's corporate offices and they apologized and suggested for me to submit a grievance form. After 20 mins later Rosalio came up to me and tried to offer "a better price" then he had initially mentioned. Lets just say it wasn't an offer. All in all AVOID this company in this city. AWFUL service and deceiving staff particularly Rosalio who's a complete scam artist and should be fired.

I had a week long reservation for a Full Size car, advertised as "VW Jetta or Similar", got a Kia Rio with 38k kms, technically a subcompact. But gets worse, as the fee for the whole week was of US$36, but was forced to buy crazy expensive insurance, ended up being charged US$336. They do not accept the insurance that your booking agency so hastily tries to sell. The check-in person was quite stern and unpleasant to deal with, gave very unclear directions of where to find the car which had my family wandering around the airport lots only to learn that they don't have their own lot but have to find a dude with no identification or uniform between the taxis... awful experience

Terrible rental place - they won’t honor your reservation, try to “offer” you a lower class vehicle at a higher price, and on top force you to take expensive insurance that doesn’t cover anything not already covered by a typical credit card. The front desk guy was rude and told us that we had no other option than accepting what he offered us. Luckily, all the other car rental companies are right next to Budget, so it’s easy to call his bluff and rent from another company.

Do not get a rental here, they charge you upfront a ridiculous amount of money, way higher than the flat rate you go for, After returning the car I rented for 2 weeks, I made it explicitly clear to the counter that I would deliver the car early in the morning to catch my flight, upon arrival I noticed that others too were waiting in line to return their vehicles, called them three time, left a voicemail, had to ask airport security to where I could leave the car, finally the national guard. Lazy workers, don’t wake up at the time they’re supposed to, don’t answer the phone, very shady business, going to ask my bank for new bank account information after this to secure my personal information is at risk.

If I could give it negative stars I would. I’m usually not one to leave a rating, good or bad, but this was ridiculous. Rented a vehicle when I purchased airplane tickets, they charged the card right away and sent me my confirmation. Upon arrival at the airport about 2 months after the reservation we were told that they hadn’t had any cars since the day before. I asked why we hadn’t been notified if that was the case and the man simply responded that they didn’t have any way to contact us. He said if I wanted a refund I would have to call Volaris. After speaking to a Volaris customer service rep we were told we needed to call budget. When I called budget their customer service rep said that we had just put the vehicle on hold and had not paid, I told him the money had already been taken out of the account and he insisted it hadn’t (which I know for a fact it had because the bank called about a $763 dollar charge that seemed suspicious) I told him I would have to double check all the paperwork and call back to which he responds you need to wait until 7:30 to call back for that. If that’s the case why had he been able to help me at that moment? I am EXTREMELY upset, that was quite a large amount to end up with no car and with no money

I do not recommend to rent cars from this company. They will find a way to take money from your bank account. This is the budget rental car at Del Bajío Airport.

We booked our car rental online at Budget at the Bajio airport at what seemed a very good price. When we arrived, they added on all sorts of extra fees so the price was ridiculously high. The car literally looked like it was made up of car parts from trashed cars from the 1990s! I actually think it was--I'm not even exaggerating. My husband expressed his concern about how worn the tires were and whether it would hold up, but they insisted the were new tires. Ha ha. The only good thing about the car was that the a/c worked well. It made this weird noise that made us constantly worried it would break down. Then on the third day one of the tires went flat and we were riding on the rim. Luckily in Leon, Gto. it is quick and costs about $7 to get a tire fixed. So, DO NOT rent from Budget. I would say, don't reserve your car in advance (unless it's some holiday or busy season and there might be a shortage); instead compare prices at the different locations and ask to see the car before giving your payment. And NEVER rent from Budget.
