Warning !!! Budget cancun are Scamming people, they are surcharging extra fee which are not in the initial agreement. This fee is 8 USD per day "decline cdw administration fee" or in spanish " activacion monitoreo remoto" So you have to pay an extra of 8USD per day (+taxes) because you don't want to subscribe the BUDGET insurance. This is properly scanladous!!!

Staff was very nice…..but budget forced us to either buy a usd 200++ insurance or pay usd 34 extra for a tracking device. At least the staff was honest enough to confirm that this is cheating since it is not mentioned anywhere Also sad is Expedia doesn’t mention it either Seems only in Mexico the big corporations get away with cheating their customers

Hidden fee of $11 USD per day for “gps tracking device” not disclosed when we reserved the vehicle. Either that or pay for their internal insurance that costs more than the rental car. Their insurance was $54 USD per day. We already have travel insurance that they wouldn’t accept. Use a respectable rental company, I’d give zero stars if I could.

I'm surprised I'll say it, but everything went well. A lot of negative reviews here rely on tracking devices and insurance issues. I booked at Rentalcars. I will never do that again. Insurance by Rentalcars is cheap, but I have the impression that it does not take sufficient account of Budget conditions. In the end, I agreed to buy some medium insurance from Budget. The deposit dropped to about $ 600 and I didn't pay any tracking devices. And if Budget doesn't notice the tracking device at the beginning of the lease, it's definitely a scam. But in my case, it didn't happen. Yes, I paid something extra, but I was calm. Not surprisingly, businesses are not happy when you book with someone else. I'm worried about how Rentalcars might handle travel problems. I'm not saying that rentals are flawless, but I understand that any third party is just another complication. If I only have insurance with Rentalcars and I don't buy any from Budget, I will have to deal with two entities. So it is better to take it directly from the rental. It may cost more, but it is definitely more comfortable. I take one star for communication when handing over the car at the beginning of the rental. When we check the damages of the vehicle together, I want to hear clearly and see how it is logged. I'm not interested in the heroic statement that everything is fine and great. Especially when I see that the car has some minor damages already.

We had our rental van break down late at night and had a hell of a time getting a tow truck to come get the van. Initially we were told that we couldn't get a replacement before the van was returned - which was going to be many hours into the night. Elsa took charge and got us a new (upgraded) van, helped us cut through the red tape, and even got us a free tank of gas (could return empty without a charge). Once Elsa got involved, we were out of there and back home in a flash. We needed someone to step up to the plate and help us, and Elsa was that person. She has made a returning customer out of my partner and I.

Very great. No hidden charges and I got a great deal on a rental car here. Most of all if not all rental companies, those that are established in the United States give you a price then when you go to get it and drop it off when your finished you are paying for a lot more than what you agreed to. I like this Budget. Got a good deal.

God awful rental car location. Unfortunately I founded out after renting with them. I rent the car for 224. I get there decline their car insurance and find out there is a gps tracking fee of 8 a day. Sound bogus right. Of course but there’s no option. Take the insurance or be charged the tracking fee. So I take the tracking charge and we return the car my rate has gone from 224 to 296. So I question it as we are leaving and I have to catch a flight and the agent reassures me the conversion will be 264 when I get home I have no cellular service and a plane to catch. I get back home it’s 296 and now I have to wrestle with someone to get an adjustment because these scam artists want to scam people out of their money. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else. Im aware most if not all locations out of the US are franchises regardless I’m writing a letter to budget to let them know about this location and their unhanded shady practices.

If I could put 0 stars I would! These guys are cooked thieves that plant things in the cars to charge people for! If you go here take a video of the inspection with the guy! Be sure to check the trunk, take out the spare tire, check under the car, behind every wheel, open ever door, report ever scratch! Document all of it! They are terrible people who have a special place I hell waiting for them! They pry on women and Americans, that I have seen so far. They don’t call the cops when you ask them to not do they do any reports. Do not rent here!
