Rude, mean, users, getting advantage of tourists, didn't respect/honored confirmed booking, unprofessional, and thieves. Stay/Be aware from Budget Payless car rental in Mazatlan, Mexico!

Made a reservation a month before thru Orbitz, when i arrived at the airport the rental car agent told me i had to purchase a liability insurance since the one i had purchase thru Orbitz was not accepted, NOT sure why budget wouldn't honor or accept an AIG ins policy , Also Orbitz should disclose such information as well to avoid additional charges

Scam alert !! dealer offer third party insurance. Makes any excuse to sell it. Not same Budget insurance avoid deal with it.

I reserved a car a month before I traveled there and the day that I went to get my vehicle they cancelled and told me that it was Expedia who was supposed to have had called me to let me know that they couldn’t fulfill my reservation when in reality no one ever called me. The receptionist lied to me and told me that the Budget where I wanted to drop off the vehicle had closed (due to no business) and when I called the other location in front of her she changed the story and said that I couldn’t return the vehicle at the other location because it was a “different” company but they were both Budget. The manager at the other location was very nice and told me that he didn’t understand why they were refusing to rent me the vehicle and said that he would gladly accept the vehicle there. The point is is that they were rude and non-understanding and did not even apologize for the inconvenience. We ended up having to go to another car rental place where they were very nice

Horrible experience! Stay away! Be warned... they confirm your reservation online and when you show up they dont have the cars available... then they blame expedia??‍♂️ would never recommend to anyone!!
