It was not a pleasant experience. The Sótano del Barro is a recommendable experience, the guide was excellent, but the stay in the cabin left much to be desired. The cabin never had water. To wash our hands we had to buy bottled water and not to mention go to the bathroom. When asking for the costs, and despite constantly asking for clarification, they were never clear. For example, for dinner: I asked for the bill and they told me 80 MXN and that everything is paid at the end. Okay. We agreed to also order breakfast which is also at 80 MXN. At checkout it turned out to be 80 MXN per person. The last straw was that hours after liquidating, they contact me because they miscalculated the cost of the guide. These details leave a bad impression of an experience that could have been excellent. I hope they continue to professionalize their services so that people who want to have the experience of the Sótano del Barro enjoy their stay as well.

It is a small cabin but comfortably fits 6 people. The space where it is located is very wide, there is a large patio for camping, bathroom, shower, palapa and even WIFI. The service of the man was very good, he was attentive all the time, he is very complete, he offered us a local guide, breakfast (I saw in a previous review that they complained about the price, but 80 pesos is normal in Querétaro per person, a very rich and artisanal breakfast (handmade tortillas, eggs from the ranch, etc).

Excellent treatment from the owners Don Nabor and Doña Adriana. They treated us like one of their children, they got us a guide to go to the basement and they gave us delicious food before and after the tour. Handmade tortillas, chicken broth, Mexican style eggs with beans and quesadillas. The rooms are pretty good for the infrastructure of the town and it's off the path to the basement.
