★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice place and lovely staff. I’ve stayed here during my stay in San Jose and I’ve loved it. The view is amazing, the rooms are simple but lovely - the bed came with many blankets and I could sleep like a baby (warm). Bathrooms are shared and get cleaned daily. Hot shower available, too. The outside area is my favorite part, with a garden and a lovely view on San Jose. Also, in the same building you can find a pizza place (super nice) and a Thai restaurant (still have to go). You can order tea and coffee from the reception, too. Would 100% recommend this place!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We got a private room with a fireplace in it, hot water shower, bathroom (with toilet seat), and a comfortable, warm, and cozy bed. The price was excellent. It was a little outside of the main town, only 5 minutes, but it was enough to provide quiet evenings. There were three great restaurants within the actual complex, too - delicious breakfasts in the A frame Mediterranean restaurant, pizza in the hotel, and Thai food down the steps under the hotel.
They offered temescal but we didn't try. There is a nice sitting area to have your coffee in the morning.
