Cabañas Cheleembal - Campeche Camp MX

Completely new cabanas, very clean and comfortable. Great budget option and closest to Calakmul. Super friendly hosts and very fresh breakfast and dinner. We stayed here with our two daughters and they even had a baby crib with mosquito net and were very welcoming for our family. Highly recommended.

Mediocre and poor-value (with a touch of dishonesty) compared to neighboring places in Conhuas. No seats on the toilet, bad smell from the plumbing, no fridge in the rooms as advertised, and absent owners (this wouldn't have been a problem if they had communicated they weren't the people we'd be staying with). The food in particular could use improvement; dinner on the first night was soup and tortillas (I stayed their because they promise a fully vegetarian kitchen and imagined this would mean there was more veggie stuff on offer than other parts of Conhuas-- not so). Inexplicable policy of doubling the price for a room with two beds. The men and women who were managing the place were extremely kind and helpful. Pros: Excellent, very comfortable mattresses.

You’ve get what you book in the good sense of the word; simple, clean, friendly and safe spot on the Calakmul jungle very worth it. You’ll sleep with the symphony of the night crawlers surrounding you. Super friendly and helpful hosts which made our stay wonderful. Totally recom.

Basic cabañas with a tiny bed allegedly for two (good luck), mosquito net, hot water, fan, one bulb (impossible to read anything at night) and a joke of a pool (see photos). Pankakes coffee and bananas for breakfast included. Nice hosts. But at 900 pesos a night is spectacularly overpriced.

Arrived in this village pretty late, in low season. They welcomed us warmly and offered a very good discount. The place was empty and beautiful, no comparison with other cabañas visited just before in the same village, la selva, really ran down ( no water ?) and over priced. The prices of accommodation in this tiny village in the middle of no where are unexpectedly pretty high!!

Our car has broken down so I and my 2 small kids were forced to look for an accommodation. Cabanas Cheleembal has offered a cabana for 1600 pesos Literally, a minute after I handed over the money we got a call from a tow service that they were going to pick us up. It was unexpected and we couldn't refuse. When we told the receptionist (btw nobody speaks English there, our taxidriver was so nice to translate), we were told that we'd get only 50% back as they've lost another customer. This was a lie since we only asked about the accomodation over WhatsApp an hour ago and didn't make any reservation. When we arrived the receptionist didn't even know about us. We had such an amazing experience with our previous hosts but this has been very disappointing.

It was a lovely stay, with welcoming hosts. The beds were great, the cabana was clean and the meals were delicious. It is the perfect stay to get an early start for Calakmul.

WE loved the place, simple but nice, quiet, well situated. The hosts were welcoming, they prepared us dinner and kept our luggage while visiting Calakmul site. Thank you very much.
