★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful place to stay one or two nights! The restaurant is limited but very decent and a balanced diet.
Freddie will take care of you and offer a guided tour on his ATVs which you should take! (MXN600/vehicle and you should tip your motorcycle-riding guide, Manuel.)
You will go to some off-road, ensconced lakes and cenotes, and also on a rafting expedition which will give you a workout. There will be two stops and the good one is the orchid museum and the other one is 1.5km away (a fine workout!). You will be charged 250/person but with Manuel, you can bring it down to 180/ person. We tipped our guide, Jaime, 50.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great spot for relaxing, enjoying some quiet, clean mountain tranquility. The cabins are clean, sizable, can sleep 5, and a small balcony on the upper level that is wonderful anytime of day. The lake below is walkable but I would recommend walking the road rather than the trail all the way down to the lake from the cabins. The trail gets quite steep and slippery and exposed. The weather here changes rapidly and often but as soon as the sun peaks through the clouds, the water is glorious. There are caves to explore as well but a local guide is recommended. The on-site restaurant has a limited menu but is delicious and well priced. Nice views. There are shopping options within 5km.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cabin was comfortable and fulfilled our needs as a base to explore the beautiful countryside. The view is incredible.
The restaurant is very average. Overpriced for poor quality and small portions. Unfortunately, you have no choice!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The cabin had a great view of the lake, the location is very quiet, and the beds were comfortable. The restaurant was meh - the food was boring and the service was lackluster. Also, we could never find our host when we needed something. They advertise wifi, but count on zero internet service during your visit. We'd probably stay here again despite the poor service just for the view from the cabin's deck.
