Cabañas Rincón de Ojo de Agua
El albergue ecoturístico de San Juan de los Durán se encuentra a una hora y media en auto de la cabecera municipal de Jalpan de Serra. Está rodeado por bosques de pinos y encinos típicos de la Sierra Madre Oriental.
La localidad está aislada de núcleos urbanos y se encuentra a una altitud de 1200 metros sobre el nivel del mar, por lo que se puede disfrutar de un clima templado la mayor parte del año.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Teníamos reservación y cuando llegamos no había nadie, avisamos que íbamos tarde y aún así se fueron, nunca nos dijeron hasta que hora nos podían esperar. A pesar de tener la ubicación es muy complicado llegar y para un auto bajo no es recomendable y menos llegar de noche porque la entrada no se ve.
We had a reservation and when we arrived there was no one, we warned that we were going late and even so they left, they never told us until what time they could wait for us. Despite having the location it is very difficult to get there and for a low car it is not recommended and even less to arrive at night because the entrance is not visible.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Toda la amabilidad por parte de los propietarios, quienes estuvieron al pendiente de que las indicaciones para llegar fueran lo más claras, ya que es un poco difícil el camino y el acceso y no hay mucha señalización.
Un lugar perfecto para descansar, apreciar la naturaleza en toda la extensión de la palabra y enriquecer tu perspectiva. (y/o para entrenar si te gusta la carrera de montaña ‘trail’)
Las cabañas están hechas de manera artesanal. Mi familia disfrutó muchísimo.
All the kindness on the part of the owners, who were aware that the directions to get there were as clear as possible, since the road and access are a bit difficult and there is not much signposting.
A perfect place to rest, appreciate nature in all the extension of the word and enrich your perspective. (and / or to train if you like mountain running ‘trail’)
The cabins are made in an artisanal way. My family really enjoyed it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Es una estafa, el precio no coincide con lo que se ofrece. Dicen que hay cocina y ni siquiera está equipada con artículos básicos para cocinar. Cuando llegamos nadie nos abrió.
La habitación no contaba ni con baño, ni papel. Está lejísimos, de los principales atractivos, por un camino que no apto para carros pequeños, eso no se aclara.
It is a scam, the price does not match what is offered. They say there is a kitchen and it is not even equipped with basic cooking items. When we arrived nobody opened us.
The room did not have a bathroom or paper. It is very far, from the main attractions, on a road that is not suitable for small cars, that is not clear.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Estuvimos muy a gusto en la cabaña de barro. El lugar es paradisíaco y muy tranquilo. El arroyo pasa al lado de las cabañas, así que se convierte en un enclave fresco, rodeado de árboles frutales, plantas y aves.
Héctor, el dueño, está atento a lo que se necesite.
Puede que falte un poco de mantenimiento en cuestiones concretas, pero, en general, la relación calidad-precio está bien. Falta que algunas cosas se pongan en marcha después de la pandemia.
Eso sí, tengan en cuenta que el acceso es por terracería y es largo (nosotros hicimos 1.40h - 2h de terracería). Disfruten del paisaje y vayan con calma. También tienen que tener en cuenta que el lugar no tiene internet, pero venden fichas de internet en el pueblo, que está a 10min en coche desde las cabañas. Por último, aunque no hay electricidad convencional, Héctor tiene luz cargada con paneles solares y generador solar de electricidad para cargar el cel y la batería de la cámara.
Es un lugar muy aconsejable si están dispuestos a renunciar a algunas comodidades de la ciudad para pasar unos días en calma en un lugar muy bello.
We were very comfortable in the mud hut. The place is heavenly and very quiet. The stream runs alongside the cabins, so it becomes a cool enclave, surrounded by fruit trees, plants, and birds.
Héctor, the owner, is attentive to what is needed.
It may need some maintenance on specific issues, but overall it's good value for money. Some things need to get going after the pandemic.
Of course, keep in mind that the access is by dirt road and it is long (we did 1.40h - 2h of dirt road). Enjoy the scenery and go easy. You also have to take into account that the place does not have internet, but they sell internet tokens in the town, which is a 10-minute drive from the cabins. Finally, although there is no conventional electricity, Héctor has electricity charged with solar panels and a solar generator to charge the cell phone and the camera battery.
It is a highly recommended place if you are willing to give up some of the comforts of the city to spend a few days in peace in a very beautiful place.
