Si quieres llegar tienes que rentar una lancha en el pueblo de El Saez, en la presa de Aguamilpa; de ahí son 10 min para llegar al pueblo.
It is a Huichola community, with beautiful scenery, very friendly people and very mystical atmosphere.
If you want to get there you have to rent a boat in the town of El Saez, in the Aguamilpa dam; from there they are 10 min to reach the town.

Detalles sobre cómo llegar:
Si llegarás en transporte público, desde Tepic hay un camion tipo van que dice "Embarcadero". Si llegarás en tu propio auto, busca "Embarcadero Aguamilpa" en Google Maps. De alli salen las lanchas hacia Potrero de la Palmita.
Las lanchas colectivas ("de ruta" las llaman) cuestan aprox 70 pesos por persona y corren entre 8am y 5pm aprox, dependiendo cuántos clientes hay, y a veces terminando más temprano los domingos. También hay lanchas privadas que se puede contratar que te irán a recoger a la hora que indican, y cuestan aprox 800 pesos en total- estos corren más temprano y más temprano en caso de que necesites otro horario. Son unos 15 min del embarcadero hasta Potrero de la Palmita en la lancha.
Detalles sobre las cabañas:
200 pesos/noche/person. Colchones cómodos. Se recomienda llevar tu sleeping.
Qué más saber:
Si gustas, en algún momento de tu visita la que está encargada de las cabañas en ese momento puede perifonear a las mujeres de la comunidad para que pongan un mercado en la plaza principal, con sus artesanias wixaricas, para que hagas unas compras directamente de las artesanas. En ese caso, lleva el efectivo que podrías requerir, y billetes del tamaño indicado.

Details on how to get there:
If you will arrive by public transport, from Tepic there is a van type truck that says "Embarcadero". If you will arrive in your own car, search for "Embarcadero Aguamilpa" on Google Maps. From there the boats leave for Potrero de la Palmita.
The collective boats ("route" they call them) cost approx 70 pesos per person and run between 8am and 5pm approx, depending on how many customers there are, and sometimes ending earlier on Sundays. There are also private boats that you can hire that will pick you up at the time they indicate, and they cost approx 800 pesos in total- these run earlier and earlier in case you need another schedule. It is about 15 minutes from the pier to Potrero de la Palmita by boat.
Details about the cabins:
200 pesos/night/person. Comfortable mattresses. It is recommended to bring your sleeping bag.
What else to know:
If you like, at some point during your visit, the person in charge of the cabins at that time can put the women of the community on the loudspeaker so that they can put up a market in the main square, with their Wixarica handicrafts, so that you can make some purchases directly from the artisans. In that case, bring the cash you might require, and bills of the indicated size.

People are very friendly, camping but there are clean cabins, for food you must notify in advance the number of people who are going. The landscapes are majestic and the crafts are beautiful.
