★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’m not a coffee drinker - and they all say that the coffee here at Cafe84 is hands down THE best coffee around, but no worries because they’ve got terrific fresh fruit juices, including a green drink and a carrot orange ginger combo. The vibe here is super chill and it always feels comfy and a great place to hang out and meet people. There’s often live music or events and it’s just a really cool spot overall. Ernesto and Lily will make you feel right at home!

In a good way though, having been raised on good coffee at cafes, in France, I naturally gravitate to the ambiance-rich, coffee fabulous locations wherever we travel. And here on the coast of Oaxaca, nestled under the shade of ancient trees, yet steps away from the gorgeous beach, is Cafe 84, the ultimate manifestation of that ideal cafe experience. The best cappuccino in town, in a beautiful and architecturally interesting space. You'll always get a warm welcome here from Ernesto and Lilly. As a side note, it's also a great place to work inside, with a nice vibe and always cool music playing in the background. Love Cafe 84.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This has to be my favorite café in Zipolite! Lily and Ernesto have created such a welcoming and homey space. The pastries, cake, chia cups, and lattes are the best in town. All the ingredients are sourced as locally as possible and they also offer cute local artists products sometimes as souvenirs. The wifi is amazing so this is also a great place to catch up on some work. I always leave with a smile when I come to 84 café. I hope you enjoy it as much as me (and ask if there are any local music events coming up, they add so much to the magic of the beach)!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cafe ‘84 is truly the best cafe on the coast of Oaxaca. Ernesto and Lily provide an incredibly warm and accommodating space for everyone, dogs, cats, iguanas… Not only is the coffee the best around, they also make delicious smoothies and food creations. They’re stewards of the community hosting brilliant theatrical and circus performances, creative workshops, acroyoga and unique celebrations. I’m lucky to know this place exists and welcomed into the Zipolite community through Cafe ‘84.
