★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My favorite neighborhood gathering place. Owner is so warm and friendly, as is the entire staff. On Fridays, they host a super popular Burgers + Blues night that fills up fast (be sure to reserve in advance). The Arab-inspired dishes are unmissable, but every plate is fresh, delicious and made with love. Go early and often! You’ll feel like you walked into your family’s backyard, surrounded by art, friends, and tons of small, thoughtful details.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a charming cafe with friendly staff. The outdoor tables are in a protected courtyard and there is a table or two nearer the street. This is a place where people come to play chess; where neighbours gather to talk about issues that affect them; and where you can just relax. There is a deli section for some take out items. We enjoyed a tasty burrito. We plan to return.
