★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Layla Guesthouse is a welcoming oasis just a couple of blocks south of Puerto Morelos' town center. The food is wholesome, the hosts are gracious, the service is warm and efficient, and the environment is comfortable and relaxing. Brunch on Saturday's is stellar with Gloria Casonova singing beautiful heartfelt songs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They have some serious talent in the kitchen here. Vegan- and veggie-friendly breakfast spot during the day (different than the pizza focused all vegan menu at night). Highly recommend the vegan hotcakes and (non-vegan) huevos rancheros.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tucked away opposite a quite beach in the this charming small town out of the hustle and bustle of Cancun is a little gem of a guest house with a wonderful café serving delicious food in a great atmosphere. The food is often accompanied by live music performances. The staff are helpful and charming and the kind owners are true believers in equanimity and hospitality.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great coffee, friendly service, fast and free internet, clean bathroom. Open concept, casual and authentic vibe. Vegan mainly but one chicken dish on the menu. We only had drinks so cannot comment on the food. Pink soda quite sour and asked for it to be sweetened. Would definitely come again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a really great early dinner at Layla’s. Sheila and Ray were fantastic and extremely helpful. I ordered an empanada and a frecklicious fresh juice. I will be coming back again for more. They also have a beautiful garden area and rooftop yoga.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yum! We had the frittata, superbowl, frecklicious and pink soda. We are neither veggie nor vegan, just loved the look of the menu, so have this tucked away spot a whirl. So glad we did.
Frittata was outstanding. By far the best breakfast I've had in Puerto Morelos. The only down side was it had a generous helping of garlic, which was less popular as I was the only one who ate that, so the others in our party requested I stay down wind of them for the rest of the day.
Superbowl was VERY fruit forward. As you can see in the pictures the yogurt was more of an accompaniment.
Both drinks were well balanced and flavorful.
Vibe was really relaxed, staff were friendly and attentive.
We enjoyed it so much we went back for dinner (they switch to Layla Vegan Pizza).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great breakfast/ brunch choices.Eggs ,a delicious choice of smoothies and vegan choices. Love the flavors! Salads and a chicken noodle soup that is fabulous!
Did I mention that the music will have you tapping your toes as you sip your cafe?! All around cool place.
