★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a coffee grower and producer from there own plantation. If you call you can take a trip into the mountains to see both indigenous villages and the family coffee plantation. This was such a great day starting and 9am and returning at 7pm. Includes making lunch.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went on the one day tour of the coffee plantation and it was fantastic! The drive to the plantation was broken up with stops in indigenous Mayan villages, which was an added bonus and very interesting. The hike to the plantation was beautiful (make sure to bring good walking shoes), and we thoroughly enjoyed being toured around. The highlight had to be the quesadillas cooked over the fire - some of the best food we've had in Mexico.
The trip ended with a visit to the cafe, where we had the opportunity to try all their coffee based products and see the drying and roasting.
We would 100% recommend this tour, fantastic value, and Marlene and her family were so hospitable, knowledgeable and passionate about what they do.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We really had an lovely afternoon at cafe Yaxchilan! We did the short tour (in English) in their family house, during which the full proces of coffee making was explained and shown. We tasted the best drinks and quesadillas and the family is just lovely, so welcoming and nice. Thanks!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really enjoyable day at Cafe Yaxchilan, highly recommended. Madeline and her family made us feel like part of the family and were really welcoming. We got so much coffee and different varieties, including tea and jam they make from the coffee beans and learned everything about the process from growing to roasting. Thanks for such a good day :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We did a day trip from San Cristobal to explore the family owned coffee plantation and it was simply awesome, for me the best tour so far in México. But it’s not only exploring how coffee is made including a lot of tasting but also preparing our own Mexican lunch (quesadillas, Guacamole and Salsa), driving in the back of a SUV, hiking a bit in a scenic landscape, tasting Pox and so on. The guide was also really nice and knowladgable. All in all a hidden gem in San Cristobal and definitely a Must-Do!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the highlights of our trip. Full day trip, many cups of coffee, freshly made quesadillas. Amazing family that runs a small family business with organic coffee.
Incredible experience, we learned a lot about the coffee plants, beans and the process of growing, taking care of, picking, washing and roasting the beans.
I’d highly recommend to anyone who’s in Chiapas!
Ps. As a bonus you can get a class how to make tortillas :D
