★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Leisurely service, good food after pushing through other restaurants' parking lot fools. They seem to think if they block your way by standing in front of your moving car that you will be cowed into turning into their restaurant. Beyond stupid & dangerous. Calakmul's prices were reasonable although several fish choices were MIA. We would return despite the parking antics.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place was a major disappointment. We saw the good reviews and came in very hungry meaning they had a very low bar to meet to satisfy us. However right from the start the service and experience was horrible. First of all, everything was overcooked. If one knows what they are doing, seafood is not difficult to cook. Here they just cook it until everything has a rubbery texture. Despite Campeche being a seafood haven, the shrimp was not fresh but frozen. I made the mistake of ordering lobster - it came not in the manner I requested it and it was prepared horribly. It also was served before the appetizer. All of the entrees for my party were served not together but several minutes apart. Who does that? The waiter was clearly untrained and for that I blame the owner who does not seem to be held in high regard by his employees. Please avoid this restaurant.
